Presidential Message

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As the president of the APOSSM (2008-2010), this is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 2010 APOSSM Congress, to be held in Okinawa, July 2-4 2010.

APOSSM is the regional representing body in the international arena along with ISAKOS, ANNA, AOSSM, ESSKA and SLARD, in the promotion of orthopeadic sports medicine, arthroscopy and knee surgery. The success of the World Congress of Sports Trauma 2008 held in Hong Kong was a great impact for APOSSM and our international colleagues. We would like to carry this momentum to the next highlight, the 2010 Congress in Okinawa.

There has been enormous development in sports, commentating the highlights of the 2008 Beijing Olympic in the Asia-pacific region. Along the same theme, orthopeadic sports medicine, arthroscopy, knee surgery and amongst the most popular sub-specialties, are gaining enormous academic and professional achievements. This congress will combine the highlights of congress and also cover the board spectrum in the specific specialties in our organization. We will be inviting top experts in our region and around the world to lead. There will be ample of free papers, e-posters, discussions and "meet the expert" sessions to encourage participation and engagement.

This is the Congress where all the old and new friends gather for promoting fraternity, understanding and friendship. Okinawa has a strong backdrop of extensive tourist attraction. Its spotting facilitates would undoubtedly present a major attraction to you.
